SELECTOR VERSION 4.0
A software-based "DJ platform“ where an animated Selector/ DJ character displayed on a computer monitor mixes many short audio/visual clips in real time. The digital DJ ‘decides’ how to combine the images and sounds based upon a computer algorithm that analyzes attributes such as beats per minute, brightness, color, and motion. Through this activity, the DJ becomes the creator of non-linear narratives that can be endlessly re-mixed to produce new sets of meaning.
